Car strikes pole in Johnston Township

JOHNSTON

The male driver of a car was injured when his vehicle went off state Route 88 near the intersection of Porter Drive and Stoddard-Hayes Road and struck a utility pole at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

The crash, which occurred in the 4000 block of the highway, is under investigation by the Trumbull County Sheriff’s department. The identity and condition of the driver is unknown, but people who reported the crash to the Trumbull County 911 Center said the driver was laying in the street.
