Daisy Ridley off Instagram after anti-violence post

Daisy Ridley has deleted her Instagram account after some backlash over a post about the victims of gun violence.

People magazine reported that the star of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” wrote on Instagram on Monday that tears were streaming down her face during a tribute to victims of gun violence at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday. She ended her post with #stoptheviolence.

The magazine said the 24-year-old Ridley soon received backlash from fans over the message. The Instagram account and a corresponding Facebook post were later deleted.

Ridley’s Facebook page remains active.

Prince’s ex-wife wants to keep 2006 divorce records sealed

MINNEAPOLIS

Attorneys for Prince’s ex-wife Manuela Testolini are arguing that records from the couple’s 2006 divorce should remain sealed.

Testolini appeared in a Minnesota courtroom Thursday but did not speak.

Prince’s marriage to Testolini was his second. He died April 21 from an accidental overdose of fentanyl.

The Star Tribune wants records from the couple’s divorce released publicly, but Testolini’s attorneys objected, saying the records are tied to a private settlement.

The newspaper reported that Hennepin County Family Court Judge Thomas Fraser took the matter under advisement.

‘Big Lebowski’ actor David Huddleston dies

LOS ANGELES

David Huddleston, the character actor best known for portraying titular roles in “The Big Lebowski” and “Santa Claus: The Movie,” has died. He was 85.

Huddleston’s wife, Sarah C. Koeppe, says he died Tuesday of advanced heart and kidney disease in Santa Fe, N.M.

Huddleston famously portrayed the blustery millionaire whose identity Jeff Bridges’ character is mistaken for in the 1998 cult comedy “The Big Lebowski.” He also personified a jolly St. Nick alongside Dudley Moore in “Santa Claus: The Movie” and hilariously played the mayor in “Blazing Saddles.”

Other credits in Huddleston’s 55-year career include the films “Fools’ Parade,” “Family Reunion” and “Bad Company,” as well as guest appearances on such TV series as “Gunsmoke,” “The West Wing,” “Gilmore Girls” and “The Wonder Years.”
