Man tells police he was shot and robbed of his pot

YOUNGSTOWN — Police came to the aid of a man late Thursday who said he was shot and robbed of marijuana.

Reports said an officer on patrol at about 11:35 p.m. at Wick Avenue and McGuffey Road was flagged down by two men in a car and one of the men had a gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim told police he was at Lansdowne Boulevard and McGuffey Road when he was approached by two men. One of the men pulled a gun and demanded the victim's marijuana then shot him, reports said.

The victim crawled to a home on Springdale Avenue, where a person there drove him to the hospital before they flagged down police.

The victim was treated at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
