Last open house of the season set

POLAND

Poland Historical Society will host its final summer open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Little Red Schoolhouse, 4515 Center Road.

The public can view the inside of the schoolhouse, built in 1858.

The schoolhouse is the meeting place for the Poland Historical Society and houses historical artifacts dating back to the 19th century.

Historical society members will be present to answer questions and provide historical information about Poland.

The society also has two books for sale. The first is a reproduction of the book originally published in 1966, which covers 1796-1966. The second new book gives Poland’s Historical Highlights from 1966-2016.

Both books can be purchased at the open house, at Trolio’s, 35 McKinley Way, and at the Village Pantry, 221 S. Main St.
