Poland library hosted a week long program teaching children how to decorate different items using the screen printing process June 27 through July 1.

Jen Kuczek, a Poland librarian, provided materials for those who attended the screen printing program. Among the materials were paint, tote bags, white shirts and other supplies required for screen printing. Kuczek printed out a packet of instructions for the guests to follow along with and take home for future reference.

Guests of a variety of ages attended the event. Some of the guests were younger children and some were teenagers in high school. One of the guests who attended the event is going to school for graphic design, so the screen printing design process was right up her alley.

“It’s very neat to see how they started on Monday and now they’re just like experts. They’re pretty much all making extra ones now,” said Kuczek.

There were nine people who signed up to attend the library program. Some of the guests attended the whole week, while others attended just one or a couple of the days.
