Children got a visit from a special guest at the Poland library on June 23.
Porgie the Clown came to the library to put on a performance for the children and their families. The event was part of the summer reading program and allowed those enrolled to mark it off their challenge checklist. There are different incentives for those who participate in the summer reading program to complete the challenges.
The children were eager to interact with Porgie and raised their hands when he needed an assistant with one of his tricks. Porgie performed a variety of tricks from making a flag out of separate pieces of fabric to making a flower appear out of his wand.
The show provided family fun entertainment for children of all ages to laugh at and enjoy.
Porgie the Clown will be attending events at other libraries in Mahoning County to give families an opportunity to see him again, or for the first time.
