Boardman Community Baseball All Stars defeat Irontown

The Boardman Community Baseball 10-year-old All Star team defeated Ironton 10-8 in July 28 in the 9-10 year-old State Tournament in Dover. The team is 4-1 in State Tournament play.

BCB team claims victory over Loveland LL

The Boardman Community Baseball 10-year-old All Star team defeated Loveland LL with a score of 6-5 on July 29 in the 9-10 year-old State Tournament in Dover. The team is 5-1 in State Tournament play.

BCB team takes tournament title

The Boardman Community Baseball 10-year-old All Star team defeated Dover LL twice on July 30 to win the Ohio 9-10 State Tournament in Dover. Boardman took the first game 5-4. Dover protested the game when Boardman’s Jack Ericson’s dove over the catcher to score the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning. The on-field call was upheld by the Little League Regional Office in Indianapolis, Ind., forcing a second game to determine a tournament champion. The BCB All Stars then defeated Dover LL 10-4 in a rain-delayed second game to win the State Championship.
