What: Each Friday, take part in fun, drop-in activities in the family garden. Learn about the different parts of plants and what makes them grow. Special guests visit each week with activities such as yoga, storytelling and more.

NEO URBAN, COMMUNITY FORESTRY CONFERENCE

When: Aug. 12, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

What: ODNR Division of Forestry and the University of Mount Union bring together a group of forestry specialists to address tree issues that affect anyone living in an urban setting.

Where: Hoover Price Campus Center, University of Mount Union, 1972 Clark Ave., Alliance.

Annual Horticulture Show

When: Aug. 20 and 21

What: We all grow beautiful things – why not enter them for a blue ribbon in this annual Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown show.

Details: Youth and adult divisions. Annuals, perennials, veggies, fruits are eligible. Take entries to the Gardens from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Aug 20.
