Officers, residents treated for carbon monoxide poisoning
YOUNGSTOWN — Four police officers had to be taken to a hospital today to be treated for carbon monoxide poisoning.
Officers were called just after 2 a.m. to a home in the 3000 block of Pine Hollow for unknown trouble and had to force the door open.
Inside was a generator in the basement that was malfunctioning, a spokesman said. The fumes made the officers sick as well as two people who were in the home.
The officers and the people who were inside have been treated and released, the spokesman said
