FOOD SALES AND DINNERS


THURSDAY

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will serve homemade dinners to go starting at 3:30 p.m. until the drive-through runs out. Cost is $7 for baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans. Drive to the front of the church, and someone will take your dinners to you. There’s no need to preorder or get out of the car.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter and coffee. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will host a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out for $8 each. A stuffed chicken breast comes with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a brownie.

FRIDAY

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Meals include a choice of baked or fried fish; french fries, macaroni and cheese, pirogi or haluski; and coleslaw, green beans, roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $11. Carryout meals will be available.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

VFW Post 9571, 11397 Ellsworth Road, Ellsworth, will host an all-you-can-eat fried fish dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The meal includes french fries, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw and applesauce. Four-piece chicken, chicken fingers or shrimp dinners also are available. Cost is $9. A chicken fingers or fish dinner for seniors is $8.50 each, and a fish dinner for children under 10 is $5.50. The meals are offered the first and third Fridays of each month.

SATURDAY

Lake Milton Presbyterian Church, 942 Grandview Road, will host its annual chicken barbecue dinner from noon to 5 p.m. The meal includes two sides, roll, dessert and a beverage. Dinners are $9 for adults and $6 for children.

SUNDAY

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve homestyle breakfasts from 8 a.m. to noon sponsored by the auxiliary. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. Menu items are eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

MONDAY

Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St., will serve supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. before the concert. If it rains, the concert will take place in the church. Individual ham loaves will be served cafeteria-style with au gratin potatoes, vegetable, dessert and beverages. Meals are dine-in or carryout. Cost is $10.

TUESDAY

Columbiana First United Methodist Church, 210 S. Main St., will have a drive-through ham dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The meal includes red-skin parsley potatoes, green beans, applesauce and a brownie. A $7 donation is requested.
