Staff report
WARREN
Susan Manusakis, 54, of Country Club Avenue, Youngstown, has pleaded guilty to grand theft and two counts of forgery for taking $21,749 from the Warren Secretarial Association, the union that represents secretaries within Warren City Schools.
She appeared Monday before Judge Peter Kontos of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, where she entered the plea. She will be sentenced in about four weeks, after the county’s Adult Probation Department conducts a pre-sentence investigation.
She was association president at the time she was charged in November. No school funds were involved.
Manusakis formerly worked as secretary for the Lincoln Pre-K to Grade 8 school and earns $37,217 annually, but she currently works in the school district warehouse off Pine Avenue, a school official said.
Schools Superintendent Steve Chiaro could not be reached to comment on whether the guilty plea will trigger any disciplinary action.
