Ohio treasurer to host presentations on money-saving tips for disabled Wednesday at MCCTC
CANFIELD — A representative of Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel will give two presentations Wednesday concerning STABLE accounts that allow people with disabilities to save and invest money without losing Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income and Social Security Disability benefit eligibility.
The 90-minute programs will be at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the lecture hall at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road. Enter through Door 55.
Ohio was the first state to implement these accounts, which are made possible by the federal Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act.
The program is sponsored by the Mahoning and Trumbull County boards of developmental disabilities.
