Jackson Township Citizens Association is preparing for the annual North Jackson community-wide yard sale at 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The sale takes place at 10748 Mahoning Ave., next to the Jackson-Milton High School football field. There will be some sales from homes and businesses. Flyers will be provided with those addresses and a map. All funds raised are given back to improve the community. The current project is a digital informational sign to list community activities.

AARP 4611 East is planning a trip to a gospel brunch at the House of Blues in Cleveland at 11 a.m. on Oct. 9. The cost is $70 and includes the brunch, Jack Cleveland Casino and Tower City Shopping Mall downtown. The first payment of $40 is due Saturday, and the second is $30 due Sept. 6.
