St. Patrick festival returns this week

HUBBARD

St. Patrick Church, 225 N. Main St., will host its parish festival Thursday through Sunday. Admission is free.

Highlights will include food vendors, games, rides, games of chance, a poker tournament each day (must register in advance at saintpatsfestival.com), and bingo. There will be a polka Mass at 2 p.m. Sunday. A 2016 Corvette Stingray will be raffled off (second prize is $1,000). Other prizes to be raffled include a big-screen television, a recliner, custom entrance door, iPad Air 2 and a Toro lawn mower.

There will be live music each night in the band tent by DJ Michael Thomas, Guys Without Ties, Hern Brothers, 5 Live, 2nd Avenue Project, Jack Vasko, County Mayo Irish Band and K Street..

Thursday will be youth night with ride discounts and a DJ. Festival hours are 6-11 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 5 p.m. to midnight Saturday; and 3-11 p.m. Sunday.

Trash and treasure

CANFIELD

Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 N. Broad St., will have a Trash and Treasure sale Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. It will offer household goods, linens, kitchen items, utensils, home d cor, curtains, draperies, linens, glassware, dishes, baskets, holiday items, tools, books, games, puzzles, toys, jewelry, outdoor items, sports items, collectibles and more.
