Family drumming and dancing set Friday in New Castle, Pa.

NEW CASTLE, PA. — Elliptica Belly Dance will host family drumming and dancing from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Two Rivers Artisan Coffee Works, 11 S. Mill St.

The event provides drum and dance instruction for children and families, which will be followed by a free class from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6.

Attendees to the free class will be introduced to the art of belly dance, which encourages whole body health, including a 45-minute class, and a short question-and-answer session with light refreshments.

No dance experience is necessary. Classes are for women of all ages, but attendees must allow for registration time.
