CANFIELD
April 17
Theft: Police arrested Max White, 37, of Newburgh Heights, Ohio, on a theft charge. Police accused him of taking a bag of charcoal from Dollar General, 477 W. Main St.
April 18
Warrant: Police arrested Alana Reese, 22, of Sunnybrook Drive, Youngstown, on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.
April 20
Warrant: Police arrested Marcel Boatwright, 41, of Clearmont Drive, Youngstown, on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.
AUSTINTOWN
April 18
Fraud: A fraudulent tax return was reportedly filed at a home in the 100 block of Maple Leaf Drive.
Animal complaint: A cat was dumped from a red Chevrolet Blazer at Silica Road and state Route 46.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s tires were slashed at a home in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.
Menacing: Threats were made via text messaging at a home in the 2000 block of Woodgate Street.
April 19
Warrant: Police arrested Trevon Johnson, 22, of West Chalmers Avenue, Youngstown, on a warrant for domestic violence.
Theft: Makeup and a Social Security card were taken from an unlocked vehicle at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course, 777 Hollywood Drive.
Theft: Two 25-ton log splitters were stolen from Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A fraudulent return was made at Walmart. The suspect fled before police arrived.
Burglary: A Playstation and laptop computer were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.
Attempted burglary: Doors and windows were damaged at an apartment in the 800 block of Compass West.
April 20
Drug offense: Drugs were found in a recovered purse at Walmart. A female is a suspect.
Theft: An undetermined amount of money was stolen from Walmart.
Theft: A 55-inch television was stolen from Walmart. A female is a suspect.
Burglary: A total of $150 in change was stolen from an apartment in the 60 block of North Raccoon Road.
April 21
Warrant: Police arrested Rebecca Paxton, 31, of U.S. Route 422, Garrettsville, on a warrant for failure to appear on an assault charge in Youngstown.
Theft: An unlocked vehicle was entered and a wallet was stolen. The vehicle was parked in the 1000 block of Celeste Circle.
Criminal damaging: An glass-door entrance was damaged at Austintown Baptist Church,1180 S. Raccoon Road.
Warrant: Police arrested Margaret Best, 48, of Woodmere Drive on a warrant for inducing panic, possession of drugs and drug-abuse instruments.
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Alan Direnzo, 19, of Pine Trace Street, and Daniel Majirsky, 24, same address, for possession of marijuana.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s finish was scratched at a home in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.
Drugs found: Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.
Disorderly conduct: Several juveniles were fighting at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road.
April 22
Theft: A projector was stolen from ITT, 1030 N. Meridian Road.
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Terry McGaha, 29, of Fifth Street, Warren, for possession of marijuana.
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Sean King, 28, of Jackson Street, Warren, for possession of marijuana.
April 23
Assault: Police arrested Steven Devellin, 32, of Dunbar Avenue on a charge of assault on a police officer.
Obstructing official business: Police arrested Matthew Matey, 24, of Toledo on a charge of obstructing official business.
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Dennis Brace, 35, of Spring Meadow Circle for possession of marijuana.
Theft: A girlfriend stole a boyfriend’s debit card from a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.
Menacing: A man was threatened by a daughter’s boyfriend at a home in the 200 block of North Edgehill Avenue.
Criminal damaging: BB pellets damaged a back window of a home in the 3000 block of Wendover Avenue.
Burglary: A woman’s house in the 4000 block of Burkey Road was broken into and $700 in cash was stolen.
Theft: An Ohio license plate was stolen from a vehicle at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave. The suspect’s vehicle was involved in a pursuit in Boardman.
Drug offense: Police arrested Kirk Zents, 27, of Christian Avenue, Hubbard, on a warrant for failure to comply with a traffic violation and on charges of possession of heroin and possession of drug-abuse instruments.
April 24
Truck theft: A 2005 Ford Ranger was stolen from the parking lot at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Breaking and entering: A home in the 10 block of Harold Street was broken in to. Police said nothing was taken.
Theft: A total of $3 was stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 60 block of Atlanta Avenue.
Assault: A woman told police she was assaulted at Billy’s, 40 S. Meridian Road.
