Fixing lot at mill

YOUNGSTOWN

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday on a project to rehabilitate the parking lot at Mill Creek MetroParks’ Lanterman’s Mill.

The lot will be closed for the duration of the project (which is slated to be completed in June), but the mill will remain open.

Parking will be available at the mill’s overflow lot on East Park Drive.

The project includes improvements to pavement, curbing and hiking trails, and will address stormwater by replacing conduit and enhancing natural habitat, according to a MetroParks release. The project also will add a new concrete entrance plaza.

The MetroParks is funding 100 percent of the project cost.
