BOARDMAN

A 14-year-old Boardman boy faces charges of felony abduction and misdemeanor assault, according to a police report.

Charged is Kane Wiesensee of Leighton Avenue. The charges stem from an incident reported April 17 by a juvenile and his mother.

A report indicates that township police were dispatched early that morning to a hospital emergency room, where the purported victim reported that he was assaulted and held against his will at a residence he had visited. He told police that after smoking marijuana there, he was punched in the face and head and kicked in the ribs and crotch area. The assault reportedly occurred without provocation.

The victim reported he was then forced to stay at the residence overnight. He told police that “every time he would attempt to stand up, the same males would punch and kick him into submission not letting him leave,” according to the report.

At one point when he was able to get away, he reported, someone threw him into a creek, then threw rocks, sticks and a metal pipe at him. The reported assault went on for several hours, he said.

The next morning, someone gave him a pill and he “felt very tired and dizzy from it about 30 minutes later,” according to the report.

Police reportedly observed injuries to his head, shins, hips, rib cage, back and face.

Wiesensee was arrested in connection with the incident Thursday at the Mahoning County juvenile court, where he reportedly was being held on an unrelated matter.

The charges are being handled through that court.
