Stand Against Racism event underway at YSU


YOUNGSTOWN — YWCA's 4th annual Stand Against Racism event has started on Youngstown State University's campus in the Ohio Room of Kilcawley center.

The event will have a panel of members of law enforcement and of the community and discuss the racism that plagues America. University President Jim Tressel welcomed guests followed by YWCA President & CEO Leah Merrit who opened with discussing the need to know how racism exists in our society.

She then played two videos about the injustice some people face in American society.
