ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 9:45 a.m. May 7 in the lower-level large meeting room of the Youngstown Public Library, 305 Wick Ave. After the continental breakfast, social and business meeting, Dr. Alicia Prieto Langarica, assistant professor of mathematics and statistics at Youngstown State University, will present “Using Mathematics to Change the World or at Least Having Fun Trying.” Hostesses are Mary Ann Allgood and Beverly Gibson. Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will have its next meeting May 10 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield beginning with networking at 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:30. The menu comprises spinach quiche, chicken crepes, French toast sticks, link sausage, sliced ham, home-fried potatoes, assorted pastries, fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee and tea. CLASSES

Campbell Memorial January and June Classes of 1950 will meet for lunch at noon Wednesday at Bedford Trails Golf Course in Coitsville.

CLUBS

College Club of Sharon will have its final meeting of the 2015-16 year at noon May 14 at Tara, A Country Inn, Clark, Pa. Past presidents, honorary members and 50-year members will be recognized and election of officers will take place. Warren Women’s Connection, an affiliate of Stonecroft Ministries, invites all women to attend its May 9 luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Reservations are required for the luncheon and must be honored if not canceled by May 7. The cost is $13. FRATERNAL

Youngstown Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 213, will have its next regular meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Aerie meeting room. The third reading and voting on proposed Aerie By-Laws changes will take place. Dues Day will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 7 when members should renew their dues.

Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s League will meet at 6 p.m. May 10 at Selah’s Restaurant, 130 S. Bridge St., Struthers, for the annual spring social. Joyce Martin and Roseanne Winner, provisional members, will be installed at a candlelight ceremony. Proceeds from the 2015 Quarter Auction and recent Downton Abbey Farewell Tea will be given to designated charity representatives. The Boardman Poland Junior Women’s League is open to all women over 18, residing in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties who are interested in friendship, fun and community involvement. Their mission is to provide a creative outlet for women interested in providing community service in areas of arts, conservation, education, home life, international affairs and public affairs. RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Salvation Army of Mahoning County Women’s Auxiliary will host its regular monthly meeting and biennial installation of officers at noon Tuesday at DonaVito’s Restaurant, 139 S. Bridge St., Struthers. Members will discuss the upcoming spring basket auction fundraiser, participation in Women’s Heart Day at the Covelli Center and summer service projects.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the parish house.

SERVICE CLUBS

D.A.R.E. meets at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. SOCIETIES

Struthers Historical Society will celebrate its 30th anniversary of the Alma Frankfort Museum at 1 p.m. Sunday. Members are invited to attend the meeting and hear Kristin Olmi talk about grants that are available to historical societies. Cake and coffee will be served.

NAMI Mahoning Valley offers support groups for those who deal with mental illness. Family support groups, providing information for family members and friends of individuals with mental illness, take place the first Thursday of each month at 11 a.m. at the Girard Library, 105 E. Prospect St., and on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the D & E Counseling Center, 142 Javit Court, Austintown. The Connection support group is for adults living with a mental health diagnosis. It meets at 1:30 p.m. each Thursday at the Mental Health Community Center, 1344 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, and at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at the D & E Center. R-Weigh Weight Support Groups meet on Mondays at First Friends Church, 1028 Jennings Ave., Salem. Afternoon weigh-in is from 1 to 1:30 p.m., and the meeting will follow at 1:45. Evening weigh-ins are from 5 to 6 p.m. followed by the meeting at 6:15. The first meeting is free. Guests are welcome. The club is an all-volunteer, nonprofit group of women helping women to lose weight. All money paid returns to the members in incentives to lose weight.
