Mahoning commissioners advertise for bids to repave Bailey Road

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County commissioners this morning voted to advertise for bids for the repaving of Bailey Road in Jackson Township from Mahoning Avenue to the Mahoning-Trumbull County line, which is estimated to cost about $1 million.

That project will be federally funded with a 10 percent local share.

The commissioners also entered into a $165,390 agreement with CT Consultants Inc. of Mentor for design engineering services for rehabilitation of the Lowellville Road bridge over Yellow Creek in Struthers.

The commissioners also entered into a $7,521 agreement with Record Systems of Boardman for reconfiguration of a county courthouse basement file room for the clerk of courts, including purchase and installation of archive file box shelving, file folder shelving and wire mesh cage components.

This is for the space that was vacated by the county’s microfilm department when it moved in February to the Oakhill Renaissance Place basement.
