CIRV to host clinic Saturday to help returning citizens

YOUNGSTOWN — The Community Initiative to Reduce Violence, under the direction of Guy Burney, is hosting a Certification for Qualification of Employment clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership office, 1325 Fifth Ave.

This effort is in collaboration with Home for Good Re-Entry Resource Referral Center of ACTION (Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods), MYCAP and United Returning Citizens.

This CQE certificate has the ability to remove some of the barriers to employment that many may have faced as a result of negative decision-making and spending time in jail or prison.
