Opening arguments underway in trials of duo charged in East Side murders

YOUNGSTOWN — Opening arguments are underway in the trials of Michael Austin, 22 and Hakeem Henderson, 24, for for murders and other crimes on the East Side in 2011 and 2012.

The two are on trial before Judge John Durkin in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

Jurors visited several crime scenes this morning before hearing opening statements this afternoon.
