Ohio Turnpike reminder: Interchange 216 ramp at Lordstown closing Wednesday night

LORDSTOWN — The eastbound entrance ramp to the Ohio Turnpike at Interchange 216 at Lordstown will close Wednesday evening and remain closed until November.

East and westbound turnpike motorists will encounter a traffic pattern with an eastbound contraflow lane reversal and reduced speed limits during this period.

Crews will remove and replace the original pavement in the eastbound right and center lanes between mileposts 216.9 to 221.2 in Mahoning County.

Eastbound customers intending to remain on the Ohio Turnpike must use the left lane only.

Eastbound customers wishing to exit to Interstate 80 Niles and Youngstown (Exit 218) in North Jackson must use the right lane.

Eastbound traffic in the right lane will be required to exit, the Ohio Turnpike Commission said in a news release.
