Local police departments will take in unused, expired prescription drugs Saturday

Local law-enforcement agencies will accept unused and expired medications for free disposal from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Medications will be accepted at the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office, 110 Fifth Ave.; Austintown Police Department, 92 Ohltown Road; Canfield Police Department, 104 Lisbon St.; and Beaver Township Police Department, 601 W. South Range Road, North Lima.

The collection is part of the National Prescription Drug Take-Back. It is anonymous, with no questions asked, according to the Mahoning County Health Department.
