Fajacks honored at dinner for 60th anniversary

YOUNGSTOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fajack of Youngstown celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a family dinner April 10 at the home of their son and his fianc e, Ralph Fajack and Roni Williams of Boardman. Other children and their spouses who hosted the festivity are Michele and Gary Nicholson of Painesville, Ohio, and Sonja and Scott Morton of Canal Fulton, Ohio.

Grandchildren are Katie Noble, Nick Fajack, Liz Noble, Jacob Morton and Zach Morton. Step-grandchildren are Tiffany (Ron) Spaller, Mike (Robin) Arocho and Chris (Michelle) Arocho. There also are six step great-grandchildren.

The former JoAnne Pallante and Mr. Fajack were married April 7, 1956, the first couple to be married at St. Christine Church.

The couple are members of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church.

Mr. Fajack worked 33 years for the Youngstown Police Department and retired in 1960 as a detective. He is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He served in the U.S. Air Force Air Police for four years, and coached Little League baseball.

Mrs. Fajack was an antique dealer and crafter for many years and retired in 2014. She hosted shows and sold items in various shops in the area. She also was an adult-educator in the arts and her rug hooking designs and wall hangings have been featured in magazines and newspapers. She has been a writer for an online magazine for the past five years. She also has a degree in creative writing and is certified in computer science working on websites and graphics.
