A man who police say pushed his girlfriend out of a moving car this week is in the Mahoning County jail on $65,000 bond.

Mister Jackson, 30, of Drummond Avenue, was arraigned before Judge Robert Milich on charges of felonious assault and abduction. A preliminary hearing is expected to take place Friday.

Jackson was arrested on warrants Thursday and booked into the jail.

Reports said police were called about 12:20 a.m. Wednesday to the 1400 block of Oak Street, where they found a woman with ripped pants bleeding from the face. The woman told police Jackson is her boyfriend, and he recently was released from the jail on an aggravated burglary charge.

The woman told police the two were spending the day together but she told Jackson she did not want to see him anymore. Jackson pushed her out of the car, which is hers, and drove away, reports said.

The woman complained of pain in her ribs and stomach, and an ambulance was called, but reports did not say if she was transported to a hospital.

Assistant Prosecutor Kathy Thompson told Judge Milich that Jackson has at least nine prior arrests or convictions. If Jackson can post bond, he also is barred from having any contact with the victim.
