UPDATE | Boardman standoff ends in arrest

BOARDMAN — A standoff at a Terrace Drive residence has ended with a female suspect in the custody of township police.

Her name was not immediately available.

Police came to the residence this morning to serve arrest warrants that Police Chief Jack Nichols said were related to threats made to neighbors.

Neighbors said the woman had a history of harassing people on the street and that police had been called out numerous times.

The road was blocked for some time as police attempted to get her out of the house. The standoff ended peacefully when she decided to surrender, police reported.

Police remain on the scene.
