Boardman man, 20, faces OVI charge after traffic stop


BOARDMAN — An underage Canfield man faces an impaired driving charge after township police pulled him over on U.S. Route 224 Wednesday night.

Stephen Bott, 20, of Woodland Run Court, is charged with operating a vehicle while impaired. He also was cited for speed and possession of drug paraphernalia, as police reportedly found a marijuana pipe in his vehicle. Beer cans also were confiscated.

Bott caught the attention of police, according to a report, when an officer clocked him traveling 56 mph in a 40 mph zone.

His blood-alcohol concentration reportedly registered at .085. The state legal limit for persons under age 21 is .02.
