Valley native will film Christian drama series

YOUNGSTOWN

“2REAL4U,” a Christian mini-series written and directed by Youngstown native Earlina Gilford Weaver, will be filmed May 13 and 14 in the Youngstown area.

Weaver is an evangelist, screenwriter and producer who now lives in North Carolina. She will return for the shooting, which will be directed by Mahoning Valley filmmaker David L. Walker of Warren.

The filmmakers are looking for extras, as well as sponsors and donors. Interested persons can contact Weaver at 2real4udrama@gmail.com or 330-423-5718.

Weaver’s first film, “Angry Tears,” was shot in the Valley and premiered in 2013. It was nominated for the Peach Theatre Award.

Weaver is also the author of several gospel stage plays, including “Who Will Wipe My Tears Away?,” “Is It Really My Closet?,” “Busted & Disgusted” and “Trapped! Was It Really God.”

When it is ready, “2REAL4U” will be seen on preachthewordnetwork.com and will be marketed to several cable channels, said Weaver.
