Deck levels closed

YOUNGSTOWN

The third and fourth levels of Youngstown State University’s Lincoln Avenue parking deck are closed after a piece of concrete fell off of a ramp, striking two cars.

Ron Cole, YSU spokesman, said one of the cars sustained significant damage, but there were no injuries. The first and second levels of the deck remain open.

“There are surface lots along Lincoln, and if students choose to park there, that obviously would be a better option,” he said.

Cole said an engineering company is coming to campus today to check the structure.
