“The Night Manager” (10 p.m., AMC): Hugh Laurie, best known for his role as the gruff, pill-popping physician in “House,” returns to television in this slick miniseries adaptation of spymaster John le Carre’s novel. He plays Richard Roper, a billionaire businessman and ruthless arms dealer who becomes the target of Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston), a hotel manager turned MI6 agent.
