Zoning request hearing in Austintown tonight is canceled

AUSTINTOWN — Austintown Township trustees’ public hearing slated for this evening for a rezoning request for Green Leaf Landscape Supply, 1430 S. Canfield-Niles Road, was canceled because Bryan Ridder, Green Leaf’s attorney, withdrew the request.

The request would’ve rezoned 312 feet from an agricultural zone, which acts as a buffer to the College Park residential subdivision, to a professional and retail service business zone. The township’s zoning commission recommended disapproval in early April, and the Mahoning County Planning Commission recommended approval in March.
