Art competition deadline nears

WASHINGTON

Wednesday is the last day for high-school students living in the 13th Congressional District to submit work for the 2016 Congressional Art Competition. Artwork may be dropped off at U.S. Rep Tim Ryan’s Youngstown or Warren offices any day between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The 13th Congressional District Art Competition awards ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. May 14 at the Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave.

The winner will be invited to attend a reception June 23 in the Capitol Visitor Center in Washington, D.C., and have their entry hang in an 11-month exhibit in the Cannon Tunnel that leads to the U.S. Capitol building.

‘Les Miserables’ at West Branch
