Surprise dinner marks Fareses' 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Maron Fares of Youngstown were honored April 2 at a surprise family dinner in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.

The gathering took place at Caffe Capri in Boardman.

The couple’s family includes their children and their spouses, Sherri (Mitchell) Shopinsky, Thomas (Heather) Fares and Vickie (Michael Schoeffler); five grandchildren, Thomas (Jess) Fares, Nicholas Fares and James, Matt and Amanda Schoeffler; and one great-grandson, Graham Fares.

Mr. Fares and the former Dorothy Cap were married April 14, 1956, at St. Maron Church in Youngstown. They are lifelong residents of Youngstown.

Mrs. Fares is a homemaker, and her husband is retired from Fazio’s Grocery store.

They are members of St. Maron Church where they were involved in running the church’s bingo events.
