YOUNGSTOWN
In the opener, the Fighting Irish jumped out to a 5-0 and rolled. Chris Patton went five innings, allowing zero earned runs, walking none and striking out three. Alex Schlosser scored three runs and Vito Petrillo had three RBIs.
In the second game, Ursuline fell behind 5-1 but an eight-run fifth inning propelled the Fighting Irish to a sweep of Kirtland. Gianni Quattro went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and run scored while Petrillo went 2 for 4 with two runs scored. Anthony Potesta and Logan Pullin had two hits.
Poland 7, Niles 5
NILES
Poland jumped out to a 4-1 lead after two innings. Nick Petrolla and Dan Kalse each went 2 for 3 with two runs scored for Poland (8-2) while Geno Barricella went 2 for 4 with a run scored for Niles. Matt Baker got the win, pitching five innings.
Western Reserve 10, LaBrae 5
BERLIN CENTER
A six-run fourth inning sparked the Blue Devils (7-1). Walker Marlowe went 2 for 4 with a run scored and two RBIs while Ryan Demsky went 2 for 5 with a run scored. Dallas Smith picked up his first save of the year, pitching two innings of no-hit baseball, closing the door on LaBrae (7-1).
Hubbard 15, Girard 5
HUBBARD
Colin Shinosky struck out six Indians while going 3 for 3 from the plate with two RBIs in the Eagles’ win. Brett Lopuchovsky went 4 for 4 and Lukas Mosora went 2 for 3 with a triple. Dominic Gainey went 2 for 2 for Girard (5-6) with two RBIs.
Hubbard 14, Valley Christian 0
HUBBARD
Hubbard (4-5) run ruled their second team of the day as Jimmy Ellcessor struck out four and walked none in the win. Brandon Rios went 3 for 3 with three RBIs and Ryan Halavick went 2 for 2 with a double and three RBIs as well. Valley Christian (0-3) only managed two hits.
Howland 9, South Range 7, eight innings
BEAVER TOWNSHIP
Howland score two runs in the top of the eighth to steal the win in the extra inning. The Tigers’ Craig Lewis was 3-for-4 including a triple and three RBIs and Josh Shver collected two hits for two RBIs. Hayden Parker allowed no hits and a walk through two innings to get the win. South Range’s Greg Dunham had three hits while knocking in one run and scoring another.
Mathews 11, Badger 0
VIENNA
Mathews (7-1, 5-1) conceded just two hits in the shutout victory. The Mustang’s Bryan Leipply had two hits, including a double and 2 RBIs. Also putting up two RBIs were Bryan Oatridge and Rob Helmick. Helmick was the winning pitcher with two strikeouts and no walks.
Columbiana 5-15, Liberty 1-2
COLUMBIANA
Columbiana only got four hits in game one but the Clippers (6-3) were aided by two walks and four hits by pitch. Splitting those four hits were Mitch Davidson, Keenan Green, Dylan Davin and Josh Herbert. Green drove in an RBI double. Brandon Johnson got the win, tossing five innings and giving up an unearned run on five hits and three walks. He struck out one. In game two, winning pitcher Ben Taylor limited Liberty to two hits. Green and Tim Davin each had two hits and a double. Davin had three RBIs and every player in the lineup scored at least a run.
Campbell 13-14, Leetonia 5-11
CAMPBELL
Campbell’s Ian Sewell threw a complete game in game one, allowing five runs on eight hits and five walks while striking out four. Marc Elash was 4-for-4 and scored two runs. Sewell and Yianni Koullias each collected two hits. Campbell trailed 11-7 in the bottom of the seventh before the Red Devils rallied. Koullias and Elash each had four hits.

RAVENNA
T.J. DeShields (2-0) allowed two runs and three hits in five-and-two-thirds innings. Jon Synder and Rylee Wallace each drove in two runs for the Warriors (9-3, 5-1 Northeastern Buckeye Conference).

Megan Ross and McKenzie Shells each had three hits for the Irish (8-1). Cassandra Hanuschak and Gia Caldrone each had two hits to drive in a pair of runs while Nikki Malkovits doubled and drove in three runs. Jordyn Kenneally fired a one-hitter with nine strikeouts.

Devon Flory’s four hits powered the Blue Devils. Hannah Hiscox, K. Wiggers and T. Siefke each had two hits while Hannah Deland doiubled. Sam Tinsley scattered eight hits.

The Tigers came through with four runs in the top of the ninth to escape with a road, extra-innings victory. ReAnn Litz went 3 for 4 with three runs scored and two RBIs. Sara Price went 3 for 6 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Hannah Kowach pitched all nine innings for Howland.

A run in the bottom of the eighth allowed Revere to walk off with the win. Sara Price went 2 for 4 with an RBI in the loss. Gabby Hartzell, ReAnn Litz and Emily Darlington scored for the Tigers.

Kelsey Byers struck out six, allowed two hits and walked none while also picking up two hits in four at bats for West Branch. Dana Weidinger took to the loss despite striking out 11. Delaney Rito went 2 for 3 with an RBI for West Branch while Maddie Pidgeon had an RBI double.

West Branch (12-0) kept their perfect record alive with Kylie Coffett’s dominant pitching for the Warriors. She struck out 15 Revere hitters while giving up one hit and walking none. Grace Heath went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI.

GENEVA
Ashley Cornelius pitched a complete game one-hitter with 10 strikeouts and Olivia Russell scored twice to pace the Spartans. Lauren Gabriele doubled. For Geneva, Isabelle Wilms had the hit.

Sydney Aey threw a complete game three-hitter with 8 strikeouts. Lauren Pavlansky had three hits while Savanna Dempsey and Gabriele had two apiece.

NORTH CANTON
Canfield (10-1) scored five runs in the fifth to take over game one. Jill Baker went 2-for-4 and Kayla Troxil picked up the win with no earned runs and four strikeouts while giving up three hits and a walk. Canton Hoover picked up the winning runs in game two in the sixth inning.

STEUBENVILLE
In the Big Red Invitational semifinal, the Cardinals won after Lauren Frommelt’s suicide squeeze bunt scored Conchetta Rinaldi for the game-winning run.
Steubenville 7, Cardinal Mooney 3
STEUBENVILLE
Cardinal Mooney (2-6) finished as the runner-up. Steubenville had a four-run fifth inning to wipe out Mooney’s early lead.
Conneaut 11-2, Poland 8-13
CONNEAUT
Conneaut jumped out to a 10-4 lead and was aided by three Bulldog errors. Poland allowed seven walks in the loss. Ashley Wire and Sarah Boccieri each went 3 for 4, Boccieri with two RBIs. In the second game, an eight-run fifth inning helped the Bulldogs (5-3) earn a split. Ashley Wire went 3 for 4 with two runs while Claire Testa went 2 for 3 with five RBIs and three runs scored. Kat Wilson went 2 for 4 with four RBIs. Megan Marisco allowed one earned run.

Ruth Sandberg;s four hits drove in four runs for the Eagles. Addy Jarvis, Morgan Kist and Mikayla Smith each had three hits. For the Indians, Sam Dohy and Jess Dohy each had two hits.

MIDDLEFIELD
Freshman Arianna Geordan one-hit Cardinal, striking out eight and walking one in the run-ruled affair. Kasey Rininger went 2 for 4 with three runs, three RBIs and the long LaBrae home run. Lauren Rutherford went 3 for 3 with three runs scored.
Brookfield 6, Columbiana 1
BROOKFIELD
Kenzie Drapola hit a two-run homerun while Alisha Quilan picked up the win striking out three and scattering seven hits. Drapola and Lauren Pesa had doubles for Brookfield.

SALEM
Freshman Bailee Thorn struck out 13 Rebels to pick up her second win for Salem in the opener. Katie Moore and Emma Minamyer had two hits each for the Quakers while Autumn Lindsay and Hayley Eskra had two hits apiece for Crestview. Freshman Sydney Kline delivered a two-out base hit to right field in the bottom of the seventh to bring in the winning run for the sweep. Clara Janofa struck out seven Rebel hitters while Thorn was a home run shy of a cycle. Mackenzie Daub had three hits for Crestview.

AKRON
The Falcons managed seven hits across both games. Mckenzie Luknis and Christina Tucker had two hits, with Luknis having her team’s lone hit of game two. Erin Harper hit a double and a single in game one.

In the opener, Madison Weaver collected three RBIs on two hits. Hannah Dennison and Cody Taylor each hit a double and Morgan Smith had three hits. Caragyn Yanek was the winning pitcher as she struck out 11 while allowing no earned runs, two hits and a walk. Weaver was the winning pitcher in game two, striking out two, walking two and giving up two earned runs in four innings. Felecia Gaeta had three RBIs and hit a double. Dennison smacked her second double of the series.Morgan Czopur had three hits.

Nicole Watts struck out nine through six innings and collected two RBIs for Mathews (7-0). Paige Sponsler had three RBIs and scored two runs. Caitlyn Simon, Mariah Hoff, Lena Hoff, Meredith Grimes and Noel Miggliozzi each had two hits. Haylee Mott went 2-for-4 for Badger.
