“Confirmation” (8 p.m., HBO): TV seems determined this year to make us relive our lurid, must-see spectacles of the past. First, it was the O.J. Simpson murder trial. Now comes a film about Clarence Thomas’ 1991 Supreme Court nomination hearings and the firestorm that unfolded when Anita Hill accused him of sexual harassment. Kerry Washington stars as Hill and Wendell Pierce is Thomas. The cast also includes Jennifer Hudson, Greg Kinnear and Jeffrey Wright.

“Saturday Night Live” (11:30 P.M., NBC): Julia Louis-Dreyfus hosts, and the musical guest is Nick Jonas.

“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV, and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): The Women of His Vision organization will present the Women’s Rally in the Valley. Mary Ann Dickson and Judy Schenker will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the event.

Next, Monsignor Robert Siffrin and Dr. Anne York will discuss the annual banquet of A.C.T.I.O.N., the Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods, which will honor the Dorothy Day House and Ohio Valley Teen Challenge.

Finally, Mary Duke and Dr. Tonia Farmer-Pitts will discuss the fourth-annual Strengthening the Family conference.

“A Conversation with Dee” (today at 6:30 p.m. on MyYTV, and Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on WYTV): Danielle Arnold from Braydich Dental and Lindsey Morris from Down Syndrome Association of the Valley will join host Dee Crawford. Arnold will talk about Braydich Dental’s Smiles for Charity event, which will benefit DSAV.

The spring graduating bachelor of fine arts exhibition at Youngstown State University will open Friday in the McDonough Museum of Art with a reception at 6 p.m. and run through May 6. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
