Niles resident sought for MVSD board vacancy

NILES — City council is seeking applicants to fill a seat on the board of directors of the Mahoning Valley Sanitary District, the water provider for Niles and Youngstown. The successful applicant will serve a three-year term beginning May 6.

Applicants must be city residents. They should submit a letter of application explaining their interest in the position and a resume listing qualifications for consideration. Each letter and resume must be in a sealed envelope marked “Application for MVSD Director.” Deadline for submission is 4 p.m. April 27.

Applications will be accepted at the mayor’s office on the first floor of City Hall, 34 W. State St., Niles, OH 44446.
