The sun will come out at Canfield Village Middle School as the Players proudly present “Annie Jr.”

The curtain goes up in the front gymnasium of Canfield Village Middle School April 22-23 at 7 p.m. and April 23-24 at 2 p.m.

The cast of forty- one seventh- and eighth-graders have been rehearsing since February and are ready to take the stage with their version of the story of the little orphan girl, Annie, who goes from rags to riches during the Great Depression.

Abby Palmer plays the dream ing orphan Annie, with Joey Bruno as her benevolent billionaire Daddy Warbucks and Ashton Gingerich as her dog, Sandy. Double cast roles of Grace (Kaleigh Ceci and Callia Barwick) Miss Hannigan (Marina Campos and Meagan Coggins) and Lily St. Regis (Sidney Kinkade and Katie Dysert) along with Rooster, Ty Schaab, will delight Annie Fans.

Rounding out the cast are the orphans: Claire Audia, Morgan Bowen, Tati Caballero, Katie Chiu, Chloe Deak, Zoe Guzman, Grace Li, Olivia Love, Gia Martin, Delaney Pallo, Brianna Parisi, Gwen Pfrenger, Emily Pondillo, Mo Prather, Raquel Rossi, Julianna Schuld and Madelyn Tobey, and the New Yorkers/servants: Connor Cutrer, Emily Donaldson, Bridget Fekety, Jenna Fitzpatrick, Chloe Hudock, Samantha Hudock, Audrey Jarvis, Lauren Jones, Hayden Nottingham, Audra Pesko, Annabelle Scianna, Dhruv Shah and Taylor Spatar.

Tickets will be sold at the door. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors.
