‘Happy Body, Happy Business’ panel at YSU
YOUNGSTOWN
The Youngstown Business Incubator’s Women in Entrepreneurship Program and the Nathan and Frances Monus Entrepreneurship Center at Youngstown State University will host a “Happy Body, Happy Business” panel discussion about health, wellness and entrepreneurship for women in the Mahoning Valley at 4 p.m. today.
The event will be at YSU’s Williamson College of Business Administration Conference Center, Room 3422.
The guest panel will include Rose Rocca, inventor of the Limitless Wheel; Ursula Shugart, owner of Studio-Pump and Pump by Studio Pump; Shannon Shugart, owner of PurYoga; Melanie Buonavolonta, owner of So Smooth; and Bethany Maizel, owner of Avant Gardens Farm & Mushroomery. They will share their experience as female entrepreneurs and give some tips and demonstrations.
Ribbon-cutting for Refresh Dental

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:45 p.m. today for the new Refresh Dental Poland office, 3 W. McKinley Way.
Refresh Dental Poland, an affiliate of North American Dental Group, is opening its newest location in Poland with providers Dr. Terrance Flinn and Dr. Lawrence Welsh.
Office hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The office is closed Friday through Sunday.
Ohio officer dies
COLUMBUS
An Ohio police officer died two days after he was critically wounded when a man opened fire on a SWAT team trying to arrest him for purportedly setting his estranged wife’s house ablaze, officials said.
Columbus police said Officer Steven M. Smith died late Tuesday afternoon, surrounded by his family. He was 54.
Lincoln Rutledge, of Columbus, shot Smith and held police at bay for several hours Sunday after officers tried to arrest him for the fire, which was set the day before, police said.
Brussels authorities charge 2, detain 3 others over attacks
BRUSSELS
Two men have been charged with offenses related to the Brussels bombings, and three others have been detained in Brussels in connection to the Paris attacks, Belgian authorities said Tuesday.
The Belgian Federal Prosecutor’s Office said the two who have been charged, identified only as Smail F. and Ibrahim F., were involved in renting an apartment in the Etterbeek area of Brussels that served as a hideout for the bomber who attacked the Brussels subway March 22 as well as a suspected accomplice.
