Boar’s Head Group of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve chicken dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $8. No reservations are necessary. Pricetown Church, 4640 Pritchard-Ohltown Road, Newton Falls, will sponsor a home-cooked supper from 5 to 6 p.m. The menu will consist of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad, rolls, homemade dessert and beverage. Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger. Carryouts also will be available.

THURSDAY

Austintown Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road, will host a drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The meals will be offered every second Thursday of the month. Cost is $7 and includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. Pepperoni rolls are available for $2. To order call 330-792-5889. There is no need to get out of your car; drive to the back of the church, and your order will be brought to you.

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will host a dine-in or drive-through roasted chicken dinner from 2:30 p.m. until sold out. Dinners will feature a half-chicken, baked potato, vegetable, coleslaw, bread and butter. Cost is $8 for adults; a children’s menu is available for $3. Credit cards will be accepted.

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have its monthly drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The dinner includes potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie for $7 per dinner. Drive up to the door, and someone will take the dinners to your car. Call 330-549-2588 to reserve your dinners. Leave your name, phone number, the number of dinners you want and approximate time you will arrive. A percentage of the profits is used for local mission projects.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. sponsored by the auxiliary. Prices are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. Meals include meatballs, salad, Italian bread and coffee or tea.

FRIDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. Phone orders may be made from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday beginning at 8 a.m. Friday at 330-755-1316. Orders can be picked up starting at noon.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for freshly made potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6.50 per dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins welcome. Use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome. May 13 will be the last sale of the season.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

VFW Post 9571, 11397 Ellsworth Road, Ellsworth, will host an all-you-can-eat fried fish dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The meal includes french fries, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw and applesauce. Four-piece chicken, chicken fingers or shrimp dinners also are available. Cost is $9. A chicken fingers dinner or fish dinner for seniors is $8.50, and a fish dinner for children under 10 is $5.50. The meals are sponsored the first and third Fridays of each month.

SATURDAY

Bristol Boys Basketball Team will be honored at a spaghetti and meatball dinner to take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Western Reserve Masonic Lodge, 216 E. Main St., West Farmington. Dinners will include salad, bread, pie, coffee and lemonade. Cost is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children age 5 to 12. Meals will be free to children 4 and under. This will be the last dinner until September.

Calvary Baptist Church, 1463 Shields Road, Youngstown, will host a dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. to benefit Operation Blessing and the Rescue Mission. Menu features angel-hair spaghetti, meatballs, salad, Italian bread, dessert and beverage. Cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children. Takeout is available.

Columbiana Area Meals on Wheels will sponsor a dine-in or drive-through spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at Pavilion 4 (by the Duck Pond) at Firestone Park. For advance orders call 330-482-0366. Meals are $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.

Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will serve a takeout homemade cream chicken on biscuit dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. April 16. SUNDAY

Fowler Fire Department will have its monthy pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the first station on Route 193. Meals are $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, $5 for children and free to preschoolers.

Southington American Legion Post, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, will serve all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage or biscuits and gravy from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children under 12 and free for those 3 and under.

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve homestyle breakfasts from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. Menu items are eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

Wheatland Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner fundraiser from noon to 4:30 p.m. at Wheatland American Legion, 2 Cherry St., Wheatland, Pa. Dinners are $8 for ages 10 and older, $5 for ages 4 to 10 and free for 3 and under. There will be 50-50 raffles, door prizes and a basket auction. Donations of items or gift certificates from area businesses and individuals are welcome for door prizes and the auction. Proceeds will benefit Wheatland Volunteer Fire Department. Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, will host a pork-kraut dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $9.50 for adults and $5 for children. Meals include dessert and coffee, tea or pop. The public is welcome, and takeouts will be available. This will be the last dinner until September.

TUESDAY

Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church will sponsor a Neighborhood Community free dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave.

TAKING ORDERS

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, is taking orders for 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls for $8, chicken noodle and vegetable beef soup for $5 a quart and $3 a pint, $2 large loaves or bread and $1.50 small loaves, and sticky buns four for $2.50. Orders must be placed today by calling 330-759-1460. Pickup will be between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.

UPCOMING

Ursuline Boys Golf Team will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. April 24 at the Ursuline High School cafeteria. Meals are $7 for adults, $4 for children 4 to 12 and free to those 3 and under.
