New Youngstown Academic Commission has its first meeting Wednesday

YOUNGSTOWN — The city schools academic distress commission will meet in special session at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Choffin Career & Technical Center, 200 E. Wood St.

The purpose of the meeting is to establish the commission, enact regulations, elect officers and consider the business and time line for selection of a chief executive officer for the city school district.
