Man faces charges
BOARDMAN
A Struthers man is charged with burglary and disorderly conduct after he purportedly entered a stranger’s home on Buena Vista Avenue and fell asleep there.
Charged in the incident reported Sunday is Jonathan Hamarik, 28, of Broad Street.
The homeowner reported to police that when he returned home, he found a car in his driveway and a stranger asleep in an upstairs bedroom. Police reported that Hamarik, who they found “fully clothed in the loft bedroom underneath a comforter,” appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. When asked what day it was, he reportedly responded, “1951.”
Police later discovered that Hamarik previously had lived at the house with his mother but was aware that she no longer lived there, according to a police report.
