City police make 3 more arrests for weapons charges

YOUNGSTOWN — Police arrested three men on weapons charges over the weekend, all during traffic stops.

Expected to be arraigned in municipal court later today are Noel Rios, 30, of Shehy Street, on charges of carrying concealed weapons, being a felon in possession of a firearm and trafficking in drugs; Jeffrey Brown, 23, of East Lucius Avenue, on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, resisting arrest, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and possession of a defaced firearm; and Dwayne Lloyd, 53, of Potomac Avenue, on charges of possession of cocaine and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The three guns seized over the weekend give police 42 firearms seized for 2016, according to Vindicator files, and five for the month,
