The MTV Movie Awards isnt’ the place for serious cinema lovers, but it’s spot on for outrageous moments and semi-serious categories. Celebrating its 25th year tonight, the ceremony airs at 8 tonight on MTV. The nominees for Best Movie are “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Creed,” “Deadpool,” “Jurassic World,” “Straight Outta Compton” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Here are the Best Movie winners for the past five years:

“2016 MTV Movie Awards” (8 p.m., MTV): Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart team up to host the “2016 MTV Movie Awards.” This year’s bash, held on the Warner Bros. backlot, is a celebration of blockbuster films, including “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “Deadpool” and “Jurassic World.”
“The Girlfriend Experience” (8 p.m., Starz): From producer Steven Soderbergh, and influenced by his film of the same name, comes “The Girlfriend Experience.” The steamy drama series follows a cash-strapped law student (Riley Keough) who takes on a side job as an escort.
“Fear the Walking Dead” (9 p.m., AMC): There is no shortage of zombies on TV these days. “The Walking Dead” may have ended its season last week, but now comes Season 2 of its less-exciting spinoff, “Fear the Walking Dead,” as the chaos continues in Los Angeles.
“Grantchester” (9 p.m., pbs): Sidney and Geordie answer a false alarm, which turns into a real murder investigation.
“Mr. Selfridge” (10 p.m., PBS): Harry faces a choice: Settle a gambling debt or bankroll the Dolly twins’ dream job.

‘Dreamcoat’ at Fitch High

The Austintown Fitch Drama Department will present “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a matinee performance at 3 p.m. April 17.
More than 60 students will be participating in the play, along with students behind the scenes and in the musical pit. Tickets are $6 ($4 for children, free for veterans).
