Niles sewing group to host April 30 extravaganza

CANFIELD

The Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild will host its 14th annual 2016 Extravaganza on April 30 at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St.

The event will include a fashion and creative show that will highlight the sewing talents of guild members. There also will be displays of accessories, quilts and wall hangings.

The chapter will mark its 25th anniversary in September. To celebrate, entries from a sewing and designing challenge to create an item made from a pattern at least 25 years old will be displayed at the event. Challenge prizes will be awarded, and items will be modeled in a style show. A lunch will be served.
