Chloe Klotz of Canfield was recently selected to participate in the 2016 Miss Teen pageant competition that will take place on April 10.

After submitting an application and attending an interview session with this year’s Youngstown Pageant Coordinator, Klotz learned of her acceptance.

Klotz will be competing for her share of thousands of dollars in prizes and speciality gifts that will be distributed to the contestants. Klotz is entered in the Miss Teen division, one of two divisions that will have young ladies ages 13-19 competing in the modeling routines of casual wear and formal wear. Additionally, Klotz will display her personality and interviewing skills to this year’s judging panel. Personality is the number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of the competition.

If Klotz were to win the title of Miss Teen, she would represent the Youngstown area at the National Competition that will take place in Orlando, Fla. More than $30,000 in prizes and awards will be presented at the National Competition, and each winner will enjoy this expense paid trip of five nights and six days in sunny Orlando.

Community businesses, organizations and private individuals will assist Klotz in the competition by becoming official sponsors to her. Through sponsorship, each contestant receives all the necessary training, rehearsals and financial support to compete. This will allow Klotz to become confident and well-prepared for the upcoming pageant.

Any business, organization or private individual who may be interested in becoming a sponsor to Klotz may contact the Miss Teen pageant coordinator at 1-877-403-6678.

Klotz and her family would like to express their sincere gratitude to their generous sponsors Mark W. Klotz, Fred and Erin Bailey, Ruth’s Dance and Fitness, Margaret Whitacre, The Duesenberry family, Ezio’s Restaurant, and Ann and Fred Bailey, Sr. The support of these sponsors have helped Klotz achieve her dream.
