Liberty police ID possible suspects in double homicide

LIBERTY

Township Police Chief Richard Tisone said police have identified several suspects in connection with a man and woman found dead in a Frederick Street apartment.

The deaths of Jesse Cooper, 62, of Frederick Street and Gloria Khoury, 39, of Logan Avenue are being investigated as homicides.

Officers responded to the 3200 block of Frederick Street about 11:50 p.m. Thursday due to reports of gunfire. While officers were on their way, a caller told a 911 dispatcher that her friend went downstairs to check what was going on and saw one of the victims dead.

Tisone said both deaths appear to be homicides, although the Trumbull County coroner will determine the official causes.

“We’re looking at several intriguing individuals,” Tisone said in reference to suspects. “I anticipate we will get to the bottom of this soon.”
