Austintown library hosted a St. Patrick’s Day family story time on March 9.
Nikki Puhalla, an Austintown librarian, led a family story time that was themed around St. Patrick’s Day. A leprechaun from Kravitz Deli made an appearance to read a couple stories to the children.
“We had a nice turnout today, about 12 kids showed up. That’s pretty good for it being in the middle of the week at night,” said Puhalla.
After the stories were read, there were several crafts for the children to make and games to play. There were boards and bean bags to play corn hole, Fruit Loops and cotton balls to make into a rainbow, a rainbow with balloon clouds on the wall for the children to take pictures in front of and more.
While the children played games and made their crafts, the leprechaun walked around to talk to them and join in on the fun.
There is an evening story time once a month at the Austintown library for families to attend.
