Saturday workshop to teach thread painting

That Quilt Group I Belong To will host a quilt happening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Fair Park, 320 Oak St.

Kathy Wolfe will teach a workshop that explores thread painting to create a handmade greeting card. Doors will open at 9 a.m.

Cost is $15 for TQGIBT members and $25 for nonmembers. Lunch will be provided. Participants should take a piece of fabric at least 61/4 by 51/4 inches, preferably with a large floral or geometric design print; also needed is a 5-by-33/4-inch piece of batting, permanent glue stick, a 61/2-by-5-inch piece of cardstock and variegated threads to match your fabric.
